1989

Founded in Keyport, NJ

Michael Reedy founded Reedy International Corporation and launched the Safoam™ brand, helping establish chemical foaming and nucleating agent technology within the U.S. thermoplastics industry.

1990s-2000s

Advanced Foaming Technology

Reedy expanded its Safoam™ chemical foaming and nucleating agents to meet growing demand in packaging and emerging sustainability-focused markets. 2015

Reedy relocates to Charlotte, NC

Reedy relocated its headquarters and warehousing operations to Charlotte, North Carolina, strengthening support for its growing Southeast customer base. During this time, the company also expanded its product portfolio to include specialty additives for thermoplastic applications.

2019

Metals and Additives, LLC acquires Reedy Chemical Foam

Metals and Additives, LLC acquired Reedy Chemical Foam and relocated operations to Indiana. The acquisition expanded Reedy's research and development capabilities, increased manufacturing capacity, and positioned the company for continued growth while enhancing support for its expanding customer base.

2023-2024

Construction Begins on New Headquarters Facility

Reedy Chemical Foam and Polymer Additives Group, both subsidiaries of Metals and Additives, LLC, began construction of a new headquarters facility in Brazil, Indiana. The investment was made to expand research and development, manufacturing capabilities, and future growth opportunities across the thermoplastics industry.
